May 6, 2008 (Sawf News) - Beyoncé looked svelte wearing a pink strapless train gown at the 2008 Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala, on Monday, May 5. The event was themed Superheroes: Fashion and Fantasy.

The Grammy award winning singer and style icon, who married beau Jay-Z on April 4 in New York City, made her first post wedding red carpet appearance sans a wedding ring and Jay-Z! There has been no official acknowledgment of the wedding by the couple so far.

Beyoncé, known to always make a bold style statement on such occasions, kept it simple but breathtakingly elegant yesterday, dressed in a pale pink silk organza strapless created from Giorgio Armani Privé. She looked slender in the bustier style bodice gown with a sweetheart neckline and a ruched panel, cascading down the front in zigzag pattern.

She accessorized with beautiful jewels - pink studded bracelet with an emerald and a chunky emerald ring on the middle finger of her left hand and matching tear drop earrings.

Her straight honey colored hair was tied at the back in a low bun with a middle parting styled to cover her ears.
