Roman Polanski reportedly released from prison in Switzerland
Filmmaker Roman Polanski has reportedly been released from prison in Switzerland.


December 03, 2009, (Splash News) - Filmmaker Roman Polanski has reportedly been released from prison in Switzerland.

The 76-year-old was being held in the Zurich prison over charges from 1977 for having sex with a 13-year-old girl.

It is claimed that he has been transferred from the jail where he was being held to another location.

He will soon be put under house arrest at his chalet in Gstaad and he is not allowed to leave until it is decided if he can be extradited to the US.

He had been appealing for bail but it was not allowed. It is not yet known on what terms he has been released.
